Financial stocks are an oddball in that they provide essential services like savings, checking, credit card processing, and loans. However, they are highly sensitive to interest rate changes. While rising rates can boost bank profits by increasing lending charges, they can also reduce demand for loans and other financial products. The fintech revolution is disrupting traditional financial services, offering more efficient, accessible, and personalized financial products. From mobile banking and digital payments to blockchain and decentralized finance (DeFi), fintech companies are reimagining the way we handle money. As consumer preferences shift towards digital-first experiences, the fintech sector is expected to continue its rapid expansion.
